This was one of the most fun photo shoots I've ever done. There are smiles and laughter in just about every frame! I love it!! As we were wrapping up our
American Summer session with my Class of 2016 Senior Model team, the girls asked if we could do one more session together before they left for college. Of course, I was totally up for that! I had just selected my 2017 Senior Model Team and thought it would be fun to shoot them all together as kind of a welcome to the new team and a send off to the girls headed to college. So I got planning and came up with the Color Splash concept! Color!! And lots of it. I started searching online for colored powder and found a USA company,
Chameleon Colors, that makes food grade holi powder! This stuff is the best! Bright vivid colors, no dangerous chemicals and it washed out super easy! I chose a small beach that is practically hidden from the public so that we could have a private location without a bunch of people in the background, I also wanted a place that we wouldn't make a mess of with all the colored powder. This little beach was just perfect!
The 2016 girls initiated the 2017 girls with the first color punch. After that it was a free for all with a few posed shots in between. I wanted to catch the candid laughs and expressions as they blasted each other with color. They are priceless!! I'm so glad we had the chance to squeeze one more session in before my 2016 girls ventured into adulthood. I hope they cherish these memories as much as I do.
